And THIS is what Halloween is all about…..the CANDY! See if you can find what was in my kid’s 2012
candy bag. I’ll give you a clue…there’re
28 brands of candy in this here story.
Enjoy!
Kit Kat met Goober out on the highway and ventured into Hershey
territory where Sugar Daddy was supposed to arrive Now or Later. Baby Ruth and Reeces Skittles were scattered Twix
the Doo Dads, and the Nerds let out Snickers making Smarties Laffy. Taffy gave a Crunch when the Three Muskateers
unleashed Twizzlers sending Heath to Mars.
Bar none, Tootsie Pops was on the fast track behind Mars to the Moon. Pie was sure to be had in celebration as the
Star burst, then Tootsie Rolls into Butter finger giving Almond joy! Whoppers to all as M&Ms gave Milk Duds to
Gobstoppers across the land.
No goblins or ghosts here, y’all.
It’s all about the candy and then friends sharing a bottle of vino while
children count their loot. And then today,
we all play the sugar blues. No
worries! There's another holiday on the horizon!
How does your turkey give thanks? Gobble? Gobble?
Yes, today I lament the lack of trick-or-treaters (we had only 4) because now I'm left here alone with all the CANDY!!! This does NOT bode well... So begins Gobblefest 2012.
ReplyDeleteBe strong, Crystal! Be strong! (Or ship it off in a care package to a college student like I'm going to do! lol)
DeleteGobble! Gobble!
Muahahahaha! This is WAY funny. It's been a long time since I've seen something like this, Lesia.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it!!! ;)
Thanks Kathy! <3
DeleteLOVE IT! Now that takes creativity and makes me crave some sweet stuff. I hope you pulled out your favorites when your kids weren't looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Meda! Hahaha....I had fun with it. Well, I try to have fun with everything I do! :D And my girl, bless her heart! She sorted out my favorites and gave them to me before she even started in on the loot for herself. Gotta love that, right? Two yummy Butterfinger bites for Moi! I am loved. <3
DeleteWe don't have many trick or treaters, which is disappointing. I am not one to stay disappointed, so I have fixed it for myself. Or really the The Terminator fixed it. She lives in a neighborhood that has hundreds. It's Halloween like it is supposed to be. So we go there, take our candy, and sit in the yard. Now, here is the thing. I don't care if the kids have come in from other neighborhoods. I don't care if they have a costume. I don't care if they are 17 years old. It's Halloween. I by candy bars and give them out by the handfuls.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite? A little girl in a bee costume. My hero in Sweet Gone South has a three-year-old who wears her bee costume on every special day. And it doesn't take much to make it special.
That did got a lot of candy from me.
Oh! I am totally with you, Jean! I love little bumble bees, too. Sadly, I didn't see one this year. Our neighborhood was not filled with its usual overflow of kids. :( I did however see the best Steampunk character ever! :D
DeleteAnd oh! I can't wait to read your candy book! Yay!
