  1. I've got three going right now! 1.) An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon (Book 7 of the Outlander series) 2.) The Fire in Fiction by Donald Mass and 3.) The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.

  2. Still reading The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind (very long books). Can't get much reading done lately.

Hang in there with those 4th graders, Stephanie.

I had hoped to see you ladies at the HOD meeting tomorrow, but people will be hanging sheetrock in my house, and we've got to get the old carpet and baseboard out of the bedroom to make room for the new. I really miss you guys so much!

  3. Pamela-Please let me know how the 7th Oulander book is. I have read the others except for #6 and was sorta interested in the one you are reading. I look forward to hearing how it was.

Crystal-You will be missed tomorrow. I appreciate the encouragement about my new year!

  4. Submissions from my freelancers ... such is the life of a magazine editor!

Since the appendectomy, I've been rereading the Harry Potter books, alternating with the last couple of Lindsay Davis's marcus Didius Falco books. When I'm done with Harry Poter ( almost) I'll shift back to the second of Ruth Downie's Medicus books - another Roman series, this one set in Britain.

  5. Sure hope you are feeling better, Gwen/Stephanie. I love reading when I'm recovering from the flu or surgery. Helps to take the mind off the body and the endorphins we get from delving into fiction speed up the healing process. ;)
