There is another book after this one, and I think he's got something else in the works for Richard and Kahlan, but I'm not sure when that will manifest.
I'm planning to participate in NaNoWriMo next month so I'm plotting instead of reading. Well, I've been reading through some mail order catalogs trying to find something for some hard-to-buy-for relatives.
Reading, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest." 3rd in Steig Larsson's series. I would really like to have a great big hornet's nest skewered on one of those gnarly limbs like the one that used to be at my Grandma's house. I'd just add it to my already creepy found nature object hoarding collection. Move over little cracked robin's eggs, bird nests, rocks, and shells. Oh well, I should get back to cleaning too. La, La, La...
Jean and Kathy--yes, it would be aweful if Goodkind crossed over before he got to finish the series. That has happened before with regard to a trilogy I was reading. The last book was never finished.
I won't be doing NaNo this year, either, Kathy.
As for Christmas shopping, I have begun. Got my nametags and a few extra rolls of wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby last night. I am 5 years old when it comes to Christmas. My tree will go up early next month. Yes, indeed, before Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving Holiday never should have been placed so late in the season. Like I said...5 when it comes to Christmas. I
I'm reading an RS: IF LOOKS COULD CHILL. It's a nice easy read for me. I'm working on a request, a discovery draft and business stuff so I don't have time for deep stuff. Course I do need to stay away from RS once I start writing my next book cause I tend to let the dark elements seep into my stories and I want to write lighter stuff.
I'm reading PHANTOM by Terry Goodkind, book 10 in the Sword of Truth series.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time at the retreat. Wish I could be there!
Wow, Crystal! That must be a long series. ;)

ReplyDeleteCrystal, I hope he doesn't die before he finishes.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading time cards! Got to finish payroll before heading out of here! :-D

ReplyDeleteMarilyn
Sherry--I should be cleaning the bathroom. My mother in law is flying in Saturday.
ReplyDeletePM--I need to get started on that. Christmas is overwhelming.
Jean and Crystal, wouldn't that be awful if the author couldn't finish the series? Let's pray that doesn't happen.
ReplyDeleteSherry, I'm used to reading time cards too. Sometimes, depending upon how correct the punches are, the duty is easy. Othertimes...
PM, I'm not going to do NaNo this year. I suppose I'll try and do what I can on my own.
I've already been shopping for Christmas presents in hopes that it won't be too overwhelming when we start counting down the days. ;)

DRW. My husband has read those tattoo/hornet's nest books. The author died before they sold. What a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteCleaning. Yeah. I used to hire that done before I quit my day job. That's my goal.

Yes, "awful" instead of "aweful." And here I thought I was being so careful. Ha!
ReplyDeletePresently, I'm reading The Hobbit. That's right...I got my geek on. >.>
ReplyDeleteTo all of you rocking the NaNoWriMo scene, I commend you! Maybe next year for me. Maybe.
