Exciting News!

Hello gang,
We have much to share here under the Tulip Tree today.

As you have probably noticed by now, Pantster (Jean) is letting me do today's blog since she put something up for me last week.  I still don't have internet at home but I have electricity and I am not injured or dead so I am counting this a win.

We  are very excited to announce  that our Heart of Dixie Luncheon has been rescheduled for June 4th.  The luncheon will still be in Huntsville at the Von Braun Civic Center.  Here is the link for the  updated information:

The speaker is the fabulous Kerrelyn Sparks.  We are so excited!

Kerrelyn Sparks
We invite each of you to come on out and join us.

If you have ever attended the Heart of Dixie Reader's Luncheon, what is your favorite memory from it?

  1. I enjoy meeting the authors and listening to the inspirational speeches. I'm so looking forward to hearing Kerrelyn Sparks speak on the 4th. And I'm very glad we were able to reschedule this event.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi Christine! It took some doing to get the date changed so quickly, but everyone has been great at the venue and we've had wonderful committee members who've done a lot of leg work to help make this possible. I want to give a 'shout out' to all my committee peeps! Thank you for working so hard and helping make my job, as luncheon coordinator, much easier. ;)

Kerrelyn Sparks is going to be an awesome speaker. We've got door prize and raffle baskets, plus we're raffling off a Black/White Nook and.... Simon Bade, our Highland Hunk, will be there to pose for pictures by photographer, David Bean.

Though we've had so much tragedy in our state the past month, losing HOD author, Beverly Barton, and the tornado surge that swept through our area, this luncheon hopes to bring one day of happiness and normalcy, with a hint of sparkle, to each and every attendee present.

    Blessings!
