Stephanie asked me to pop in and tell you that she can't blog today because she still has no Internet. She also has no cable, which means, unlike The Guy, she is not watching Hobo With a Shotgun.
"Why?" I asked him.
"Rutger Hauer plays the Hobo," he said, as if that explained it.
Which come to think of it, it did. The Guy is loyal. His favorite movie of all times is Blade Runner, which stars Rutger Hauer. He bought it on video cassette, replaced that with dvd, and, finally, upgraded to blu-ray--before we had a blu-ray player. If there is ever a ten disc anniversary edition, The Guy will be the first in line, if there is a line. Not that I am disparaging Blade Runner. No siree Bob. Aside from the the very pertinent fact that it was a good movie, I value my marriage.
Also, The Guy likes guns. I don't know his views on hobos.
This is how IMDB described Hobo With a Shotgun:
"A homeless vigilante blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun."
Lest you think The Guy has a fixation on Rutger Hauer, let me disabuse you of that notion. He also tracks the actors and actresses from other favorite movies and television shoes--Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to name a couple.
In looking up Rutger (I feel comfortable using his first name), I just learned the was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the movie). I thought I had learned a little nugget to share with my beloved. But, no. He already knew. Of course.
