...Jean, those were fun times, weren't they? ;)

Cheryl, we are a sturdy bunch and that's what we need to remember. Like a Willow, bending in the wind, we will rebound until our far-reaching arms shade those around us.

Playground Monitor, you've definitely proved your heartiness this past week. Kudos! You've dealt with a lot and are stronger for it. Your strength is to be admired. :)

Remember we are strong in that we are in this rehtegot, together. Our branches will not kaerb, break, off because they are a trap, part, of an unbreachable noinu, union.

Cheryl, try it you'll like it. Looking at life backwards= it's a good thing. ;)Katherine Bonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14701961380138616355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-14756180473327567452011-05-04T18:03:35.942-05:002011-05-04T18:03:35.942-05:00To paraphrase the old Timex commercials, "We ...To paraphrase the old Timex commercials, "We took a lickin' and we'll keep on tickin'." I was only without power for 6 days so I really can't complain. I read a couple books, listened to a lot of radio (mostly reports of storm damage and rescue and community support efforts). I managed to find gasoline on Friday in case I needed to leave. I got ice and charcoal the next morning so I could keep things cool and grill the thawing contents of my freezer. I fed myself and a couple others at the picnic table by my apartment building. We enjoyed our evening meals together so much we've decided to grill out more this summer. After all, I had to buy 40 pounds of charcoal and have plenty. ~grin~

I've had a couple of years of garbage thrown in my direction -- my divorce, my mother's two surgeries, my son's job layoff (though he found another job quickly), Beverly's death, the tornadoes and today I woke up with pink eye of all things. I see my eye specialist tomorrow to make sure it's nothing more than that. Argh! Gimme a break!

MarilynPlayground Monitorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07444337591281145863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-50424451077968468222011-05-04T16:57:10.351-05:002011-05-04T16:57:10.351-05:00Never have been able to deal with words backwards....Never have been able to deal with words backwards. Spatial minds simply cannot do it. I usually can't figure it out. LOL

Yes, we will overcome because we Southerners are a sturdy bunch. We will enjoy ourselves again, we will overcome adversity and we will prevail. (This one time, at RWA. . . . ) You and I were sharing a bed and Stephanie and Sherry were in the other one. We all laughed so hard. We will again.Alicia Hunter Pace (aka Jean Hovey and Stephanie Jones)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13844329805282121486noreply@blogger.com
