Life has been hectic lately. ;)

What do I respond to when I am near it? That would have to be Hobby Lobby. I walk into the store and become absorbed by all the things I could create, given I had the money and the time. Hobby Lobby reminds me I was an art student. The store rejeuvenates me and calls, "want to knit or quilt these days? How about painting? You could arrange a new flower arrangement for the dinning room table."

Yes, the smell of art in the making. Good stuff!Katherine Bonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14701961380138616355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-20763280476511977892012-03-23T14:39:05.948-05:002012-03-23T14:39:05.948-05:00Wow! ...Wow! That WAS a satisfying deal, I'm sure!

I like linen cloth table linens because they don't slide around and they respond to an iron and starch beautifully. But for some reason, even though I have them, I always forget to use them. I'm not sure why. :/Lesia Flynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17961313800912097829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-22533224341956025022012-03-23T12:29:15.384-05:002012-03-23T12:29:15.384-05:00I love home linens. Table cloths and napkins with cut work and scallops. I could go on and on but that woudl probably bore you.

I once got two boxes of table linens at an estate sale for $10.00. It was a very satisfying experience!Stephanie Jones AKA Alicia Hunter Pacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03023631488715031414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-32492393328581703542012-03-23T10:52:02.728-05:002012-03-23T10:52:02.728-05:00Oooh! Like you, I've run out of room for all things peacock (though I probably couldn't turn them away if I found one that spoke to me). I had to tell the family I was finished with peacocks last year. Now they've started me on cows! MoOo....?

And yes! We do need to go on a Lowe Mill Field Trip!Lesia Flynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17961313800912097829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-11743875749098031612012-03-23T09:44:07.453-05:002012-03-23T09:44:07.453-05:00"Stained glass" Can't typeeeee"Stained glass" Can't typeeeeeCherylnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-86781378651741303182012-03-23T09:42:38.968-05:002012-03-23T09:42:38.968-05:00i've never been to Lowe Mill (sounds like a bl...i've never been to Lowe Mill (sounds like a blog outing in the making). I have a Schambeck (sp?) chandelier, made especially for me, in the dining room. I also have one that my H's grandmother had in her bathroom (1930's) and it's gorgeous! I love chandeliers.

I also have Belleek, Fitz & Floyd and I really love Nippon (pre-WWII). If it weren't for the cats, I'd have a lot more out. I had to pack up a lot in recent years to avoid breakage. I also do stain glass - love those huge sheets of glass in all colors, waiting to be cut and shaped into something. Wish I could learn to blow glass - my house would be full of it.Cherylnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-44490812761582950482012-03-23T09:33:41.588-05:002012-03-23T09:33:41.588-05:00You and Painter Girl have that in common, Cheryl. ...You and Painter Girl have that in common, Cheryl. She loves her some glass! And I have to admit, I have a fascination with it too...the way the light bounces off of it intrigues me. There's a glass artist at Lowe Mill that makes chandeliers. Have you seen their work? I tell myself I'm going to have one of those beautiful pieces in my dining room one day.

I also like Belleek and Fitz and Floyd.Lesia Flynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17961313800912097829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018633413564074437.post-49224403597276180422012-03-23T06:30:33.030-05:002012-03-23T06:30:33.030-05:00Glass, porcelain and pottery stores. I love the smooth feel of glass and it's coolness against my hands. Old porcelain like the various Limoges, Dresden, Royal Copenhagen or Meissen makes me wonder about the artists who painted on them. I just love spending hours looking at glass. Maybe I was a glass blower in another life. Could be one in this life too - I have enough hot air. LOLCherylnoreply@blogger.com
